Docvale (Paris) - Upside Down

In this workshop Docvale lets us explore the influences on his style of tying.

Looking at his pictures, Naka Akira's Semenawa (= "torture rope") is undenyably one of his big influences and it still continues to feed his research into kinbaku and his desire to push his partners to their limits.

But there is more to his style than his Naka influence. Observing the practice of Aibunawa (= "caressing rope") by people he holds in high esteem, has questioned him a lot. Over the last years, he combined his interpretation of Semenawa with his perception of Aibunawa.

In this workshop we'll not only discuss his conception of each of these ways of practising rope, but also interweave them to make rope sessions as intense mentally as they can be physically.
