Lennart
Photographer & Coach
Lennart, the founder of Zwielicht Studio, brings over two decades of experience to both photography and rope artistry. He's cultivated a unique approach that deeply respects its roots while focussing on empowering students to develope their individual style.

His photographic journey began with analog techniques, which continue to heavily influence his style today, lending a timeless and authentic feel to his work.
Beyond the lens, Lennart is also passionate about the art of rope, where his focus lies in the interpersonal dynamics, release, and emancipation. While acknowledging Japanese influences, his approach aims to transcend traditional boundaries, fostering a space for individual expression and freedom. With a background as a psychological counselor and sexual therapist, Lennart also brings a particularly professional and empathetic influence to the emotional and interpersonal dimensions of his work.

In 2020, Lennart established Zwielicht Studio as a dedicated shibari school to share his knowledge and passion. Since then, the studio has had the pleasure of welcoming international guests, creating a space for a vibrant and diverse community with weekly meetings and workshops.

Nina
Coach & Model
Meet Nina, co-founder of Zwielicht Studio. Joining the team in 2022, Nina has been instrumental in further professionalizing the studio's offerings, elevating the quality and depth of its programs.
​
During workshops Nina places significant emphasis on presenting the perspective of the rope models. She is a passionate advocate for "active modeling," empowering individuals to engage self-confidently and collaboratively in the art form. In her role as an active rope top Nina particularly champions the empowerment of female and non-binary riggers, actively questioning old hierarchies within the scene.

Nina particularly enjoys the challenge of intricate and demanding rope work when it's combined with a mindful and respectful approach. Her dedication to both technical skill and emotional awareness ensures a unique and enriching experience for all.
